For the 7th year running, NE1 is bringing back the Quayside Seaside to the banks of the Tyne, one of the most popular city beaches in the UK. This year it returns a month early with Thomas Cook Airlines on board as sponsor for the 2nd year.

Newcastle Business Improvement District company, NE1 Ltd this week reported on the company’s most successful year to date at the company’s Annual General Meeting. Some of the company’s 1,400 business members were on hand to hear headline statistics for what has been achieved by NE1 in 2017.

NE1 Ltd, in partnership with Invest Newcastle, will play host to a delegation of 15 high ranking, IT business delegates in Newcastle from Chandigarh India on a two day visit to the city. The delegates arrived on Sunday 18 March and leave on Tuesday 20th.

The £3.2 million Bigg Market transformation, made possible by the Heritage Lottery Fund and with match funding by NE1 Ltd and Newcastle City Council, is about to enter an exciting new phase with the appointment of a specialist building contractor to conduct the work, and a new Project Manager at the helm at NE1 Ltd.
